Apple have been working hard to ensure they provide a quality experience for their customers in the App Store. This included a vigorous 'clean up' of the App Store of all apps that were seen as 'opportunistic' and 'filler' rather than genuine businesses and tools for customers.
Since end 2017 Apple have required all apps in the App Store be registered under an account relating specifically to the app owners so that:
- There is confidence that the app is genuine, and not spam or a copyright infringement
- There is greater certainty on the rights relating to the content of the app
- There is a more direct pathway to address any issues or concerns relating to the app, and
- Greater thought would be given to the purpose of the app
If you already have an Apple Developer Account we can first attempt to submit your app via that account rather than setting up a new one for this new app specifically.
